It's Easy Being Green

According to Kermit, "It's not that easy being green; having to spend each day the color of the leaves." I believe it IS easy being green and beautiful too.

Green sounds simple, a single color that surrounds us in the spring and summer. It's one of nature's neutrals and it becomes a backdrop to the other colors.

But when you look more closely, you discover there is more to green than you first thought. It's blended with other colors as nature transitions in the spring and fall.

Some plants have yellow-green and blue-green as their true colors.

Green also comes in a range of shades from light to dark.

Green is a foundation color in nature but never boring. It is made interesting through shape, texture, contrast, light and pattern.

It becomes clear that green is graceful,

nurturing,

layered,

reflective,

healing,

illuminating,

and ultimately essential to nature's beauty.

And Kermit agrees. "Why Wonder, I am green and it'll do fine, it's beautiful! And I think it's what I want to be."

Celebrate Green!
